If you were to define my choice of shows and channels in a marketer’s term, then i am a complete flirter.For me, content is the king.So, at one point in time, before the K serials became a bit too much, Star Plus was my main stay.Then, with the advent of Balika Vadhu, it was Colors momentarily.Now, its Zee TV hands on.

My family is tuned in to zee right from 8.30 pm up until 11 pm.They dont swich channels even during weekends now with DID 2 being a major crowd pleaser.

My fav serials are Pavitra Rishta, Agle Janam and Karol Bagh.They are earthy, realistic and poistive in their appeal.They are more relatable than serials have ever been.The actors are relatively unknown and this bring a new freshness to the whole thing.The plots are fresh, the story and narration is praiseworthy and the acting is top class.

I happened to catch a glimpse of 3 idiots at a suburban theatre yesterday.I must say that it’s a must watch film.I loved the film in its entirity.Aamir,you are simply marvellous!!!

The film starts off with R Madhavan, Sharman Joshi and Omi who plays Chatur Mahalingam in search of their long-lost friend..and foe in Chatur’s case …who else but Aamir khan.The viewers are taken through the beautiful Manali and Ladakh on this sojurn.I must say,India is beautiful….

Well, on their way in search of Aamir, they relive the 4 golden years they have spent with Aamir at the ICE(Imperial College of Engineering).The narrative is beautifully weaved with current events being beautifully threaded to events from the past.

So, they are reminded of all the joys,sorrows,pains,misunderstandings that they have been through in all these years at ICE.But, what stands out is their everlasting bond with their friend Aamir.

They credit him with motivating them and encouraging them to live their dreams.’All is well’ is indeed their mantra.He imbibes in them a belief in one’s own ability which in my opinion is the key to achieve anything big in life.

The humour is very situational and doesn’t seem like something which is half-baked and artificial.

When they finally land up at Aamir’s place, they realize that they have been taken for a ride all these years and its a case of mistaken identity….Aamir’s real identity is revealed only at the very end…

Boman as Viru (read Virus) Sahastrabuddhe is top class and so is Kareena Kapoor in a restrained act.

Hip Hip hurray to Aamir, Maddy, Sharman and even Chatur and all other actors who played bit parts deftly..

I wont reveal the entire story here..please check this out at a theatre near you…..at the earliest…its the best gift for new year.
